What is Chiropractic?

Chiropractic treats what is called a subluxation. Minnesota state law states that "chiropractic is defined as the science of adjusting any abnormal articulations (subluxation) of the human body, especially those of the spinal column, for the purpose of giving freedom of action to impinged nerves that may cause pain or deranged function". A subluxation is a joint in the spine or skeleton that is misaligned enough to cause irritation and possible pressure on nerves.

What conditions can be helped by correcting a subluxation?

In my office we see many different types of symptoms respond to a correction of a subluxation. Including:
  • Headaches
  • Migraines
  • Sinus pain
  • Neck pain
  • Stiffness
  • Pain between the shoulders
  • Digestive problems
  • Arm pain and numbness
  • Heartburn and indigestion
  • Asthma
  • Low back pain
  • Sciatica
  • Menstrual problems
